Grindley Architects is a family run, RIBA Chartered Practice. We are based in Milton Keynes and undertake design commissions both locally and around the UK.

Our aim is to achieve a high standard of design and construction formed from a sound understanding of our client's needs. The practice works closely with clients on the formulation of a brief, which clarifies all necessary spatial, technical and cost requirements.

Since its formation the practice has built up a wide ranging portfolio of work, establishing a reputation for high quality design standards and delivering carefully crafted buildings, often within very tight budget constraints.

We offer a complete building design service from feasibility studies and initial design concepts, through to detailed design, production information and building contract administration.

We have Conservation accreditation with the RIBA and can assist with works to Listed Buildings and projects located in Conservation Areas.

We believe that design is a collaborative process and that communication and consultation with our clients and with the design team is key to the success of a project. We use a range of tools to engage in the design process including model making and computer visualisations, as well as drawings and sketches.

The practice takes environmental responsibilities seriously and our buildings are well organised and display concern for the efficient use of energy. Care is taken in the selection of materials to ensure that they are appropriate for their purpose. As part of our commitment to sustainable design, the practice is involved in on-going design lead research into off site cross laminated timber (CLT) construction.
